Ex-FARC combatants - women all - pursuing and enabling independence and community.
In Medellín, Colombia, a small group of women are making a change. Despite being former FARC rebels, they have been dedicated to establishing peace - starting with the signing of the 2016 ceasefire and peace deal. Since then, they have been sourcing handmade goods from other ex-FARC committed to peace in order to support and rebuild their lives and communities. These women face the challenges of running a business with little to no experience and fighting the stigma of being ex-FARC rebels, which persists despite their commitment to peace.
